Balaam : UPDF Officer Kills Bouncer in Bar Brawl for Shs 6k

According to Deputy Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire, the dispute between the suspect, Jawiyambe Colbert, and a waiter at the bar escalated over a small balance owed. Jawiyambe, a member of the UPDF, later returned to the bar armed with a weapon and ammunition.

Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that Jawiyambe attempted to enter the bar but was stopped by Balaam. In a shocking turn of events, Jawiyambe fired his weapon, hitting Balaam in the neck with a fatal shot. Despite efforts to save him, Balaam tragically succumbed to his injuries.

Following the incident, Jawiyambe surrendered himself to the authorities at Kira Police Division and is currently in custody as investigations continue. Police spokesperson Owoyesigyire assured the public that they are dedicated to ensuring justice is served in this case.
