Yellowstone County Sheriff Linder has issued a correction regarding previous press releases from the Sheriff’s Office, clarifying that the victim involved in the recent stabbing incident is an 18-year-old adult, not a minor as previously stated. The suspect in question is a 15-year-old male minor.

The Sheriff’s Office was able to identify the suspect’s vehicle through the video security system on the Metra grounds. On Saturday, around 2:30 p.m., a deputy on Blue Creek road spotted the suspect vehicle and began following it. Billings Police Department officers later identified the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on South Billings Boulevard. The suspect was apprehended in the parking lot at the Reno club.

Following a statement on social media from the Billings Police Department, a suspect has been arrested in connection to the stabbing incident that occurred during the Southern B Basketball Tournament at the MetraPark First Interstate Arena. The arrest took place at the Reno Club in downtown Billings, where BPD officers located and apprehended the suspect.
