Details of the Latest Arrest in Connection to Deadly Shooting

In a recent development in the investigation of a deadly shooting that took place in Las Vegas earlier this year, a fifth suspect has been apprehended. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced that a 17-year-old male juvenile was identified as a suspect in the apartment shooting and was taken into custody on Saturday, March 2 in El Centro, California. He now faces charges of open murder, robbery, and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Location of the Shooting Incident

The tragic incident unfolded in an apartment complex located in the 2200 block of North Torrey Pines Drive in Las Vegas, Nevada. On the night of January 2, officers responded to reports of a shooting at this location. Upon arrival, they discovered a man inside an apartment who had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Additionally, another individual arrived at a nearby hospital with injuries that were determined to have been caused during the shooting. Thankfully, these injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.

Previous Arrests Made in Connection to the Case

Prior to this latest arrest, the LVMPD had already apprehended four other suspects in connection to the same case. Among them were two 18-year-olds who were taken into custody earlier this year. The investigation into the shooting has been ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward.
