Tragic Rain-Related Incidents Claim Eight Lives in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Eight killed in rain related incidents in KP
Tragedy struck Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a prolonged spell of rain, which began on Thursday evening, claimed the lives of around eight individuals in various parts of the region. Alongside the human casualties, authorities from Rescue 1122 KP have reported the loss of livestock as well.
Heartbreaking Losses
The victims of these rain-related incidents include five children, a woman, and two men who tragically lost their lives due to the collapsing of roofs of their houses. Among the casualties were three children from Kandao Mamond, who were buried alive when the roof of their home caved in as a result of the relentless rain.

In another devastating incident in Lower Dir district, a family comprising a husband, wife, and daughter met a tragic end in Molay Khat area of Talash. A landslide caused their house to collapse, resulting in the death of three family members while one individual is currently receiving medical treatment.
Rescue Efforts Amidst Adversity
The rescue operation in Lower Dir district lasted for approximately three and a half hours, with rescue teams working tirelessly in heavy rain to extricate the trapped individuals from the rubble. The deceased have been identified as Zahid (25 years), his wife (23 years), and their daughter Harira (5 years), while their injured child, Tafla Arham, is currently under medical care.
Meanwhile, in the village of Aladand Dehrai in Batkhela, a woman and her daughter lost their lives when the roof of their house collapsed. Noor Rehman’s family, consisting of his wife and three daughters, found themselves buried under the debris following the ceiling collapse.
Further Tragedy Unfolds
After the rescue operation, the bodies of Noor Rehman’s wife and five-year-old daughter, Mah-e-Noor, were discovered, while the remaining family members were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
