Lucknow: A tragic incident unfolded in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday as a police constable was brutally hacked to death in a shocking display of violence stemming from an old family dispute. The victim, identified as 36-year-old Anil Kumar, fell victim to the heinous act committed by his kin, Darshan Singh, and his accomplices. The murder weapon used in this horrific crime has been successfully recovered by the authorities.

The assailants, led by Darshan Singh, mercilessly attacked Anil Kumar with a knife and a shovel in the early hours of Saturday morning in Gauvepura village, Saifai. Anil, who had returned home on leave the previous day, was a dedicated police constable posted in Mathura district.

Saifai Senior Superintendent of Police, Santosh Kumar Verma, expressed his dismay at the brutal nature of the crime, stating, “We have apprehended Darshan Singh and one of his accomplices, and the murder weapon has been recovered from the crime scene. The victim’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and a thorough investigation is currently underway.”
