Man dies in tragic accident after falling off flyover in Delhi
New Delhi, 2nd March 2024 – A tragic incident occurred in Delhi’s Badarpur area on Friday, resulting in the death of a man who fell off a flyover after being hit by a car, according to the police.
The victim, identified as 35-year-old Pratap Singh, resided in the New Seemapuri area and worked as an Assistant Manager at a Yamaha showroom in Noida.
Authorities at the Badarpur police station were informed in the evening by Apollo Hospital about the accident near NTPC gate No 1. Singh was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
It was determined during the investigation that Singh was travelling from Faridabad to Sarita Vihar on his scooter when the tragic incident occurred on the Badarpur flyover near Tughlakabad metro station.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Southeast, Rajesh Deo, stated, “His scooter was struck from behind by a car, causing him to fall from the flyover onto the service road.”
Relatives of the deceased have been informed, and legal action is being pursued. The driver of the vehicle, 35-year-old Virender Rana from Uttam Nagar, has been apprehended.
This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and vigilance while driving, as accidents can happen in the blink of an eye.
