Tragic accident claims life of six-year-old boy in Kuala Krai
In a heartbreaking turn of events, a six-year-old boy has tragically lost his life following a two-car accident along Jalan Kuala Krai-Gua Musang near Kampung Pahi in Kuala Krai. The young child succumbed to his injuries at 3.15pm while receiving treatment at Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital, bringing the total number of fatalities from the accident to four.
The incident unfolded when a Nissan March car travelling from Gua Musang towards Kota Bharu veered into the opposite lane, resulting in a collision with a Perodua Myvi car. Tragically, three victims in the Perodua Myvi car lost their lives at the scene, while two others were rushed to Kuala Krai Hospital for medical attention.
Kuala Krai acting district police chief DSP Kamarulzaman Harun disclosed that the driver of the Nissan March car sustained serious injuries, while a passenger in the vehicle escaped with minor injuries.
The community in Kuala Krai is left mourning the loss of the young boy, adding to the already devastating toll of the accident. Earlier reports from Bernama identified a young girl as one of the three casualties in the tragic incident.
