Melinda Uribe, 30, and Robert M. Carr, 41, both from Mundelein, have been charged with home invasion and residential burglary. Keith T. Daniels, 43, also from Mundelein, has been charged with criminal trespass to a residence.

Details of the Incident

At approximately 9 a.m. on Friday, deputies from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to a manufactured home in the 38700 block of North Sheridan Road after receiving a call from an individual seeking assistance in retrieving their belongings from the residence.

Upon arrival, deputies learned that the caller, identified as Melinda Uribe, did not have a permanent address and occasionally stayed at the residence in question. Uribe was reportedly upset because the occupant of the home refused to allow her access to collect her possessions.

After knocking on the door and receiving no response, deputies advised Uribe to return at a later time with a law enforcement escort to retrieve her belongings. Uribe left the area but returned approximately an hour later with Robert M. Carr.

Upon their return, Uribe and Carr allegedly forced their way into the home, followed shortly after by Keith T. Daniels. The trio then proceeded to attack a 29-year-old male resident of the home.

Swift Law Enforcement Response

Fortunately, a sheriff’s deputy who happened to be in the vicinity witnessed the incident and, along with other responding deputies, entered the home and apprehended Uribe, Carr, and Daniels without further incident. The victim did not require medical attention following the altercation.

All three individuals are currently being held pending their initial court appearance scheduled for Saturday.
