Man Charged with Murder in Ferguson Shooting Incident

An 18-year-old man from the 15000 block of Cove Lane in north St. Louis County is facing charges of second-degree murder, armed criminal action, and robbery in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Thursday night in Ferguson.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the driver’s seat of a car on South Harvey Avenue. The incident took place around 8:30 p.m., and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses Describe the Incident

According to court documents, a witness observed shots being fired inside the vehicle. The witness then saw the suspect exit the car, run to the passenger side, fire more shots, and flee the scene. Two bags of marijuana were discovered outside the car near the passenger side.

Firefighters who arrived at the scene saw a man, later identified as the suspect, running down the street with a bleeding left hand. They provided assistance and transported the man to a nearby hospital.
