Clark County Sheriff’s Office Releases Video of Deadly Shooting

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office in Washington has recently released video footage from a deadly shooting incident that took place on February 20 in Brush Prairie.

According to investigators, deputies were called to a residence where a woman reported that her mother was being held hostage by an armed man. Upon arriving at the scene on Northeast 152nd Avenue, deputies encountered the suspect, identified as 53-year-old Jonathan Gale.

Shortly after engaging in conversation with Gale, he allegedly made a threatening move by reaching into his pants, prompting three of the five deputies present to discharge their firearms, resulting in Gale’s death.

The deputies involved in the shooting have been named as Sergeant Tom Yoder, Deputy Forrest Gonzalez, and Deputy Holly Dezubria. Following the incident, all five deputies have been placed on “critical incident leave” in accordance with standard protocol.

The Southwest Washington Independent Investigative Response Team is currently conducting an investigation to determine the justification of the deputies’ use of force in the fatal shooting, as stated by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
