FRESNO Teen Arrested for Fatal Shootout in Fresno

Fresno Police have announced that a 16-year-old boy has been identified as the perpetrator of a deadly shootout that occurred over the weekend in Fresno, California.

The incident took place at an apartment complex located on Fruit and Ashlan Avenues, where officers discovered Deandre Jackson, 38, with a gunshot wound. Jackson was quickly transported to Community Regional Medical Center, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

Shortly after, another shooting victim was reported on Norwich Avenue. The victim, also a 16-year-old boy, was swiftly taken to the hospital for treatment.

Investigators have confirmed that the teenage boy is responsible for the shooting that resulted in Jackson’s death.

Once the 16-year-old is discharged from the hospital, he will be taken into custody and charged with murder.
