Man Arrested in Connection with Fatal Shooting in North Tulsa

Authorities have apprehended the suspect in a tragic shooting incident in north Tulsa that resulted in the death of one man and the injury of a woman. The suspect, identified as Cameron Lynn, was taken into custody near 1200 North Peoria following the incident.

Details of the Shooting

The shooting took place at an encampment near the railroad tracks at Madison and Peoria in the early hours of February 24. Police responded to reports of gunshots and discovered 40-year-old Alcides Monroig dead from a gunshot wound. Another woman at the scene had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Investigations revealed that the suspect, Cameron Lynn, had fired shots into the homeless camp before fleeing on foot. Lynn is now facing serious charges, including first-degree murder in Indian Country and assault with intent to commit murder in Indian Country.

Police Appeal for Information

Cameron Lynn, described as around 5’6 and 195 pounds, is believed to have altered his appearance by shaving his head and beard. Authorities are urging anyone with information on Lynn’s whereabouts to contact Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
