The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force reported that on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at around 10:15pm, officers from the Marchard Police Station were called to the scene of a shooting in Bagatelle, Castries. The victim, identified as 42-year-old Calixtus Jn Louis, was rushed to the Owen King European Union Hospital (OKEU) for treatment but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff.

Jn Louis, a resident of Bagatelle, Castries, was known in the local community and had even appeared in a local movie called Out a Street, where he played the character Murderin.
