Knox County Woman Arrested for Threatening to “Shoot Up” School in Farragut

A woman from Knox County, Tennessee, was taken into custody by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday morning after making threats to “shoot up” a school in Farragut. The Communications Director, Kimberly Glenn, confirmed the arrest to WVLT News on Friday.

The woman, identified as Amina Fatima Albaraqi, allegedly posted a photo of a gun on social media along with threatening messages towards Farragut. Authorities from the KCSO, with assistance from special agents from the Tennessee Office of Homeland Security, apprehended Albaraqi without incident.

In a coordinated effort, Knox County Schools administration and school security personnel played a crucial role in aiding law enforcement with the arrest of Albaraqi.
