Tragic Crash in Midland County Leaves One Dead

Authorities from the Texas Department of Public Safety are currently conducting an investigation into a fatal crash that occurred earlier this week in Midland County, Texas.

The incident took place at approximately 8:12 a.m. on February 26 at the intersection of State Highway 158 and County Road 1150. According to the DPS crash report, the collision involved two vehicles and resulted in one fatality.

Details from the scene indicate that a Ford F-150 was stationary at the intersection of SH 158 and CR 1150 when the driver, a 36-year-old woman from New Mexico, failed to yield the right of way. As a result, the Ford entered the intersection and collided with a dump truck. The impact of the crash caused the Ford to veer off the road and collide with a utility pole.

Tragically, a passenger in the Ford truck, identified as 31-year-old Zachary Rogers from Tucumcari, New Mexico, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the driver of the dump truck emerged from the accident unscathed.
