Authorities are seeking information from individuals who may have been in the vicinity of a fatal hit-and-run incident in Cumberland earlier this month. The incident, which claimed the life of cyclist Rodney Kelly, occurred on the Comox Valley Parkway near Minto Road in Courtenay on the evening of February 8.

Comox Valley RCMP responded to a call regarding an injured cyclist just before 11 p.m. on the fateful night. Rodney Kelly was discovered by a passerby who promptly contacted emergency services. Despite receiving treatment from paramedics and the Cumberland Fire Department, Kelly succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
