Wichit Petchchaithong, a 62-year-old furniture craftsman who was present during the incident, recounted the harrowing moments leading up to the tragedy. According to Wichit, after Teerawat had slaughtered the pig, he engaged in a conversation with the victim before the situation escalated dramatically. The sudden attack left Wanna bleeding profusely on the floor, with Wichit attempting to provide emergency first aid before help arrived.

Reports have indicated that the assailant, Teerawat, had been experiencing drug-induced hallucinations leading up to the attack.
