Tulsa Police Identify Suspect in North Tulsa Shooting Incident

Tulsa Police have officially named the suspect involved in a tragic shooting incident that took place in north Tulsa, resulting in the death of one man and the injury of a woman. The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Cameron Lynn, for whom a federal warrant has been issued.

The shooting incident, which claimed the life of 40-year-old Alcides Monroig and left another woman wounded, occurred at an encampment near the railroad tracks at Madison and Peoria. The incident took place in the early hours of Feb. 24, with officers responding to reports of gunshots in the area.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Monroig deceased from a gunshot wound, while the female victim was rushed to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. It was reported that Lynn fired shots into the homeless camp before fleeing on foot, prompting an extensive search by law enforcement.

In a recent development, Tulsa Police confirmed Lynn’s identity and stated that he falls under the jurisdiction of the McGirt ruling, which mandates federal prosecution for crimes committed by Native Americans on tribal lands.
