CHICAGO (CBS) – A 15-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection to multiple armed robberies that occurred on the city’s Northwest and Near West Sides in December. The teenager was taken into custody in the 1100 block of South Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday. He is facing three felony counts of armed robbery and one felony count of attempted armed robbery.
According to the authorities, the teenager was identified as one of the individuals involved in several robberies and an attempted armed robbery on December 13, 2023. The incidents took place at the following locations:
- 300 block of North Ada Street at 11:30 a.m.; victim – a 26-year-old man.
- 1700 block of West Fulton Street at 6:20 p.m.; victim – a 28-year-old man.
- 1400 block of West Ohio Street at 9:25 p.m.; victims – a 42-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man.
- 1300 block of West Fulton Street at 11:32 p.m.; victim – a 26-year-old man.
The teenage suspect was apprehended and charged accordingly. Further details about the case have not been disclosed at this time.
