ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Man Wanted for Hit-and-Run Murder of His Brother

The St. Petersburg Police Department is on the lookout for Tyree Gland, a 34-year-old man accused of running over his 35-year-old brother, Taiwan James Gland, and leaving him to die in the street.

The tragic incident took place at the intersection of 7th Avenue S. and 12th Street South in St. Petersburg in the early hours of Monday morning. Authorities were alerted to the scene just before 2:40 a.m. after receiving reports of a man lying on the road.

Upon arrival, investigators discovered that Taiwan Gland had been deliberately struck twice by a vehicle. The victim’s identity was confirmed, and it was revealed that he is the father of an 18-year-old man who was recently shot and killed outside the Citrus Grove Apartments in St. Petersburg.

Despite the similarities between the two cases, police have not confirmed any connection between the incidents.
