Man Dies After Vehicle Crash and Shooting in Lexington Park

Malic Quinn Freeland has been identified as the individual who tragically lost his life after a vehicle crash and subsequent shooting incident in Lexington Park, St. Mary’s County. The authorities confirmed the devastating news on Wednesday afternoon.

Details of the Incident

According to reports, deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a crash at approximately 9 p.m. on February 26. The vehicle had crashed through a fence and into a shed near Valley Drive and Fox Ridge Road in Lexington Park. It was during this investigation that Freeland was discovered with gunshot wounds.

First responders immediately provided aid to Freeland for the injuries sustained in the crash. He was swiftly transported to an area shock trauma center for further treatment and evaluation. Sadly, despite all efforts, Freeland succumbed to his injuries the following day.

Autopsy Pending

Following his passing, Freeland’s body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for a thorough autopsy. The purpose of the autopsy is to determine the exact cause of his tragic death.

The investigation into this fatal incident is currently ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the crash or shooting to come forward and assist with the case.
