EAGLEVILLE — The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal crash that occurred earlier this week in Norristown as 37-year-old Katty Kampos from Ambler.

The incident took place at the intersection of DeKalb and East Brown streets, where Norristown police and fire crews responded shortly before 11 a.m. on Monday. Coroner Dr. Janine Darby confirmed that Kampos was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Darby, the cause of death was determined to be “multiple blunt impact injuries with fractures and visceral injuries,” classifying it as an accident.

Rich Lockhart, deputy chief of the Norristown Fire Department, provided further insight into the incident on Tuesday.
