More Arrests Made in Connection with Murder of DuVal High School Student in Prince George’s County, Md

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. – In a tragic turn of events, the Prince George’s County Police Department has recently identified and charged three additional suspects in relation to the murder of a DuVal High School student that occurred in September of last year.

The suspects have been named as 18-year-old Ramon Richardson of Lanham, 18-year-old Cameron Anderson of Landover, and a 17-year-old male from Lanham who is being charged as an adult. They are each facing charges in connection with the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Jayda Medrano-Moore of Greenbelt. With these new arrests, the total number of individuals in custody for Jayda’s murder now stands at four.

Family and Friends Pay Tribute to Slain Student

Following the tragic incident, family and friends gathered for a moving vigil to honour the memory of the DuVal High School student who was senselessly gunned down while walking home from class.

Shortly after the murder took place last year, police announced the arrest of a 17-year-old suspect who was accused of shooting and killing the young student after she had left school. A judge subsequently ordered that the suspect remain in jail without the possibility of bail.
