Three lives were tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence at a bar in Frome, Westmoreland in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The victims have been identified as Everol Rowe, a respected shop owner and broom maker from Frome; Kemar Smith, known as ‘Beenie Bud,’ from Savanna-la-Mar; and Andre McDonald, from Gully Banks in Savanna-la-Mar, all residents of Westmoreland.

According to reports, the chilling incident unfolded around 12:50 a.m. as patrons gathered at the local bar. Suddenly, a white Toyota Axio pulled up outside.

Two gunmen emerged from the vehicle, brandishing handguns, and unleashed a hail of bullets, causing chaos and panic among the unsuspecting crowd.

In the aftermath of the shooting, seven individuals were found with gunshot wounds, all rushed to the Savanna-la-Mar Public General Hospital for urgent medical attention.

Tragically, McDonald and Smith succumbed to their injuries at the hospital, while Rowe fought bravely but ultimately lost his life during treatment. The remaining four victims continue to receive medical care.

The devastating incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with residents reeling from the loss of their loved ones.

Authorities are actively investigating the shooting, determined to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure the safety and security of the area.
