Tragic Road Accident Claims Five Lives in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A devastating road accident took place in the outskirts of Hyderabad, claiming the lives of at least five individuals, including four women. The victims were on their way to Suryapet for agricultural work when tragedy struck. The incident occurred in Mothe police limits, where a speeding TSRTC bus collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw carrying the victims.

The deceased have been identified as Ch. Narayanamma (50), A. Nagamman (50), R. Sowbhagya (60), K. Anasuya (50), and K. Guruvaiah (50). These individuals, all residents of Vijayanagar colony in Munagala mandal, tragically lost their lives in the accident.

Details of the Accident

According to Mothe SI B. Yadavendra Reddy, the victims, who were daily-wage workers, were travelling in the auto-rickshaw to Burakacherla village for chilli farming work. As they approached the underpass bridge at the junction of Suryapet and Khammam NH, the speeding RTC bus collided with their vehicle, resulting in the tragic loss of lives.

Three of the victims, Narayanamma, Nagamma, and Anusurya, lost their lives on the spot, while Sowbhagya and Guruvaiah succumbed to their injuries while being treated in Hyderabad. The collision left a total of 11 individuals severely injured, highlighting the devastating impact of the accident.

Police Response and Investigation

Upon receiving information about the accident, the police rushed to the scene to assess the situation. The authorities found three individuals already deceased at the site, further underscoring the severity of the incident. A case has been registered against the RTC driver under section 304 (A) for negligent driving that resulted in loss of life.
