Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Three Women Labourers in Telangana

On a fateful Wednesday in Telangana’s Suryapet district, a heartbreaking incident unfolded that left three women agricultural workers dead and nine others injured. The sorrowful event took place on the Suryapet-Khammam highway in the Mothe Mandal area.

Collision Between Auto-Rickshaw and Bus

The tragic accident occurred when an auto-rickshaw carrying the labourers was struck by a bus as they were passing through an underpass. The collision resulted in the immediate loss of three lives, with the remaining passengers sustaining varying degrees of injuries.

Victims of the Accident

The deceased, identified as Burkacherla Kandula Nagamma (65), Chevula Narayanamma (68), and Pokala Anasuyamma (64), were all residents of Ramasamudram village in Munagala Mandal. The injured, including auto driver Somapangu Pawan and passengers Kandula Guravaiah, Naragoni Chandramma, Bellamkonda Sravanti, Palapati Ramulamma, Palapati Mangamma, Katthi Vijaya, Somapangu Lakshmi, and Saubhagya, were rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.

Investigation Underway

As the community mourns the loss of these hardworking individuals, the police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the collision. With two of the injured individuals reported to be in critical condition, the authorities are working diligently to uncover the circumstances that led to this tragic incident.
