Tragic Discovery in Lakhimpur Kheri

In a shocking incident that has left the residents of Mitauli area in Lakhimpur Kheri stunned, the bodies of a young girl and a youth were discovered lying in a pool of blood near a Shiva temple. The gruesome scene was discovered by local authorities, who were alerted to the area by concerned passersby.

Mysterious Circumstances Surrounding the Deaths

The girl’s face was so badly damaged that it was initially difficult to identify her, while the youth had deep head injuries. A pistol was found beside the youth’s body, with two cartridges recovered from his pocket. While family members of the deceased have alleged that it was a case of honour killing, the police have put forward the theory that the youth may have committed suicide after shooting the girl.

Police Investigation and Identification of the Deceased

Upon arriving at the scene, CO Shamsher Bahadur recovered a mobile phone, bike keys, and two cartridges from the pocket of the youth, who was identified as Kallu Amoti based on his Aadhaar card. The girl was later identified as Uma Bharti, also known as Anshu, a 21-year-old resident of Muradpur police station in Maigalganj. SP Ganesh Prasad Saha stated that while it appears the youth shot himself after killing the girl, further investigation is ongoing.

Similar Tragedy in Mathura

In a separate incident in Mathura, a charred body was discovered in a car, identified as Pushpendra Yadav, a transporter from Kasganj. Allegedly killed for ‘honour’ by his lover’s father, a history-sheeter, Pushpendra’s death has sparked further controversy and suspicion among his family members. The police have launched a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his tragic demise.

Love Affair Gone Wrong

Pushpendra Yadav had been involved in a love affair with the daughter of a history-sheeter from Sikandra police station, leading to a series of events that culminated in his untimely death. The girl’s family members raised concerns over his intentions, ultimately resulting in a tragic end to their relationship.
