Tragic Incident in Ghaziabad: Woman Jumps Off 7th Floor After Husband’s Death

A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Ghaziabad as a 23-year-old woman, unable to cope with the loss of her husband, tragically jumped off the 7th floor of their residential building. The devastating event occurred as her husband’s body was being brought back home from the hospital, leaving the community in shock and sorrow.

The tragic incident took place at the Alcon Apartment in sector 3, Vaishali area of Ghaziabad, where the young couple, Abhishek and Anjali, had recently tied the knot just three months prior.

Details of the Tragic Event

According to officials from the Ghaziabad Police, Abhishek and Anjali had spent the day at Delhi Zoo before Abhishek’s health took a sudden turn for the worse. He was rushed to Guru Teg Bahadur hospital and later transferred to Safdarjung hospital in south Delhi for further treatment.

Anjali remained by her husband’s side at the hospital for some time before returning home in the evening. Meanwhile, Abhishek’s condition deteriorated rapidly, leading to his untimely demise due to a heart attack.

After completing the necessary formalities, Abhishek’s body was brought back to their residence in Ghaziabad. The news of her husband’s sudden death left Anjali in a state of shock and deep sorrow.

Relatives shared that as Abhishek’s body was placed in the living room, Anjali sat beside him, grieving intensely. Suddenly, overwhelmed by grief, she rushed towards the balcony and tragically jumped off the building.

Police Response and Investigation

Nimish Patil, the deputy commissioner of police (trans-Hindon), stated that they were alerted about the incident around 10 pm. A police team was dispatched to the Alcon Society, where they learned that Anjali had been taken to Max Hospital, Vaishali, in critical condition.

“Despite efforts to save her, Anjali’s injuries proved fatal. Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time,” Patil added.

Authorities have assured that further legal actions will be taken as necessary to address the tragic event.
