Identified Suspect in 1970s Bombings

Tokyo (Jiji Press)—The Japanese police have revealed the identity of a man who passed away in January as Satoshi Kirishima, a 70-year-old individual believed to be responsible for a series of bombings in the 1970s, according to sources closely involved in the investigation.

The breakthrough in identifying Kirishima was achieved through DNA analysis of samples obtained from several of his relatives, examination of seized evidence, and intense interrogation by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.

Suspected Involvement in Multiple Bombing Incidents

Kirishima is suspected to have played a role in five separate bombing incidents that occurred between February and April of 1975. These incidents include the bombing of a prominent building in Tokyo’s upscale Ginza district and the headquarters of a precursor to Hazama Ando Corp.
