Tragic Incident in Raisen: Seven-Year-Old Dies in Shack Fire

Raisen (Madhya Pradesh): A heart-wrenching incident unfolded in Raisen as a seven-year-old girl lost her life when her uncle set fire to the shanty where she was staying with her family. The horrific event took place in Jamgarh village under the jurisdiction of Bareli police station, approximately 100 kilometers away from the district headquarters.

The perpetrator behind this heinous act has been identified as Ramu Adivasi. The motive behind the crime stemmed from ongoing family disputes between Adivasi and his wife. The couple’s disagreements had escalated to the point where they decided to separate, leading the wife to seek refuge at her brother Rajesh’s residence. Rajesh, a labourer, lived with his wife and four children in a modest hut located on a farm in the village.

As tensions continued to simmer, Adivasi attempted to persuade his wife to return to him, but she stood firm in her decision to stay with her brother. Feeling thwarted by Rajesh’s presence in his wife’s life, Adivasi allegedly took matters into his own hands and set the hut ablaze while the entire family was inside.

In a stroke of luck, Rajesh and his wife managed to escape the fiery inferno along with three of their children. Tragically, their seven-year-old daughter was unable to flee in time and perished in the flames.

Law enforcement swiftly intervened and apprehended Adivasi, who now faces charges under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code, among other relevant provisions. The authorities are diligently investigating the case to ensure justice is served for the innocent victim.
