Pakistanis Love Food: New Study Reveals Interesting Insights
Recently, a fascinating study conducted in Pakistan has shed light on the eating habits of the people in the country. According to the report, a significant 51 percent of Pakistanis consider themselves to be “food lovers”, while 45 percent stated that they eat simply to sustain themselves.

The Survey Details
The study, carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, involved a national survey that posed a thought-provoking question to the participants. The question asked was, “Are you a food lover, or do you just eat to stay alive?”
Upon analyzing the responses, it was found that 52 percent of male respondents and 45 percent of female respondents admitted to being “food lovers”. On the other hand, 44 percent of males and 51 percent of females confessed that they only eat for survival purposes.
Urban vs. Rural Divide
Interestingly, the survey also highlighted a discrepancy between urban and rural populations in Pakistan regarding their attitudes towards food. It was discovered that 48 percent of self-proclaimed “food lovers” resided in rural areas, while the majority, 54 percent, were from urban regions.
Overall, the study provided valuable insights into the culinary preferences and habits of Pakistanis, showcasing the diverse eating behaviours present within the country.
