New Study Reveals 51% of Pakistanis Identify as “Food Lovers”

A recent study conducted in Pakistan has shed light on the eating habits of the country’s population, with surprising results. According to the Gallup and Gilani Pakistan’s report, 51 percent of Pakistanis consider themselves to be “food lovers”, while 45 percent admitted to eating only to stay alive.

Gender Disparities in Food Preferences

When broken down by gender, the study found that 52 percent of male respondents identified as “food lovers”, compared to 45 percent of females. On the other hand, 44 percent of males and 51 percent of females stated that they only eat to survive. This gender disparity in food preferences highlights the diverse eating habits within the Pakistani population.

Urban vs. Rural Food Preferences

The study also revealed differences in food preferences based on location, with 48 percent of “food lovers” residing in rural areas, compared to 54 percent in urban areas. This data suggests that urban dwellers in Pakistan may have a greater affinity for food enjoyment compared to their rural counterparts.

Overall, the findings of the study provide valuable insights into the eating habits and preferences of Pakistanis. With over half of the population identifying as “food lovers”, it highlights the importance of food culture and enjoyment in Pakistani society.
