RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is on the lookout for a suspect wanted for murder, according to the department.
Richland County deputies responded to apartments in the 700 block of Mallet Hill Road following reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival at the scene, they discovered 35-year-old Kokayi Livingston shot and unresponsive in the breezeway of one of the apartment buildings around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Deputies provided aid to Livingston until EMS arrived. He was transported to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his gunshot wounds.
On Friday, Feb. 15, around 7:30 p.m., Richland County deputies received multiple calls reporting shots fired and a person being shot at the same apartments on Mallet Hill Road.
The victim was given medical attention at the scene and then taken to a local hospital. Both incidents involved the same suspect and victim from the fatal shooting on Feb. 25.
Kesean Johnson, also known as “Hog,” has been identified as the suspect in both shootings.
Detectives believe Johnson poses a threat as he is armed, dangerous, and extremely violent.
Johnson faces charges of murder, attempted murder, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime for both incidents on Feb. 15 and Feb. 25.
