Tragic Accident Claims Life of Geddes Man
GEDDES, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – A 57-year-old man from Geddes has been identified as the victim of a single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred on Saturday, February 24.
According to reports, Kenneth Schnabel was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox in the early hours of the morning when the tragic incident took place. The vehicle was travelling west on 285th Street, located east of Geddes, when it veered off the road, striking an approach and subsequently rolling several times after going airborne.
Despite efforts to save him, Schnabel tragically lost his life as a result of the crash. It was reported that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. At this stage, all information provided is preliminary and subject to further examination.
