Joseph Henson : “Authorities ID Man Killed by Deputies in Antelope Valley”

PEARBLOSSOM – The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has identified the 30-year-old man who tragically lost his life in a shooting involving sheriff’s deputies in the Pearblossom area. The incident took place on Friday morning at around 6:45 a.m. in the 13000 block of Pearblossom Highway, located southeast of Palmdale.

The Location of the Incident

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of an “assault with a deadly weapon, person with a knife, at one of the businesses” in the area. Lt. Patricia Thomas briefed reporters at the scene, stating that deputies were alerted to the situation and immediately began searching for the suspect.

After spotting the individual at or near a gas station, the man reportedly advanced towards the deputies while brandishing a sharp object. This threatening behaviour led to the deputies firing their weapons in response, resulting in the tragic outcome.

The Victim’s Identity

The man who lost his life in the incident has been identified as Joseph Henson, according to the county medical examiner. Following the shooting, the suspect was rushed to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Authorities also confirmed that the “sharp object” in question was recovered at the scene by investigators, shedding more light on the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
