Man Arrested in Newport News for Connection to Fatal Shooting

A man named Dwayne Marrow was taken into custody in Newport News on Tuesday in connection to a tragic shooting that occurred on July 16, 2023. Marrow is facing multiple charges, including murder and aggravated assault.

Suspect identified in Hampton Shooting

Hampton police had previously identified Marrow as a suspect in the shooting that took place outside a 7-Eleven on West Mercury Boulevard. The incident occurred during the late hours of the night, with a large and disorderly crowd present in the parking lot at the time of the shooting.

Victim Identified as Jahleel Angus
