In the video, Genesse Ivonne Moreno, 36, is seen arriving at Lakewood Church in a white SUV, accompanied by a young child. As she enters the church premises, chaos ensues as shots ring out, causing panic among the parishioners. The body camera footage from off-duty officers and a Harris County sheriff’s deputy captures the frantic moments as police try to contain the situation.
Harrowing Moments Unfold
As the gunfire continues, one officer can be heard praying for guidance and protection as they move towards the source of the shots. The young boy is seen covering his ears in an attempt to block out the noise, while Moreno, wielding an AR-style rifle, threatens the officers with claims of having a bomb strapped to her chest. Despite her warnings, no explosives were found at the scene.

Tragic Aftermath
The security footage shows Moreno collapsing after being shot by the officers, leaving her son and a bystander injured on the church floor. The injured boy, identified as 7-year-old Samuel Moreno, remains in critical condition, fighting for his life. The Houston Police Department has requested support and prayers for the young victim as he continues his battle for survival.
