Arrest and Allegations

During a news conference, Palm Beach Gardens police announced Mitchell’s arrest and identified Devon Jamal Graham, 28, of Riviera Beach, as the suspected shooter. Mitchell was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach.

Surveillance-camera footage showed Mitchell discarding a handgun in the parking lot before fleeing. The investigation revealed that the firearm was loaded and had crossed state lines. Both Mitchell and Graham have gang affiliations and extensive criminal histories, according to law enforcement records.
