Tragic Shooting Leaves 18-Year-Old Dead in Lauderdale Lakes
Authorities from the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) are currently investigating a devastating shooting incident that resulted in the untimely death of an 18-year-old young man in Lauderdale Lakes, a peaceful suburban community located in Broward County, Florida.

On the evening of Sunday, February 25, at approximately 9:00 pm, the BSO received distressing reports of a shooting in the serene neighbourhood of the 3700 block of North Pacific Breeze Circle. Deputies from the BSO and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue swiftly responded to the scene and discovered a young adult male with severe gunshot wounds.
Despite the valiant efforts of first responders who initiated life-saving measures, the victim, identified as 18-year-old Decarlo Horton hailing from Lauderdale Lakes, tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased upon arrival at Broward Health Medical Center.
The official BSO news release stated, “Paramedics rushed the individual, identified as Decarlo Horton, to Broward Health Medical Center where he tragically passed away.”
