A devastating incident took place on Monday afternoon in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, resulting in the untimely death of a Madisonville man. The victim, identified as 47-year-old David Brassieur, was struck by a motorhome while walking on Interstate 12, leading to fatal injuries.

The tragic event unfolded as Brassieur was walking on the roadway of Interstate 12 westbound near US Hwy. 190. At around 1 p.m., a 2022 Mercedes-Benz motorhome traveling in the same direction collided with him for reasons that are still under investigation by the Louisiana State Police.

Despite efforts to save him, Brassieur succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital. Fortunately, the driver of the motorhome, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, escaped unharmed.
