State Police of Princetown Arrest Ricky G. Rickson for Multiple Charges

On the 22nd of February 2024, State Police of Princetown apprehended Ricky G. Rickson, a 53-year-old resident of Schenectady, NY, on various charges including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of Stolen Property.

Details of the Arrest

At approximately 4:55 p.m. on the aforementioned date, Troopers conducted a traffic stop on State Street in Schenectady, NY, due to a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. Upon identifying the driver as Rickson, it was discovered that he did not possess a valid driver’s license. Rickson attempted to flee on foot during the stop but was swiftly apprehended with the assistance of the Schenectady Police Department.

Further investigation revealed the presence of felony-weight narcotics, multiple controlled substances, and drug paraphernalia inside Rickson’s vehicle. Additionally, a large concrete figurine, which had been reported stolen from a residence in Schenectady on the 19th of February 2024, was found in the vehicle.

Legal Proceedings and Outcome

Rickson was taken to SP Princetown for processing before being transferred to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility to await arraignment. The stolen property was confiscated and will be returned to its rightful owner.

Aside from the charges mentioned earlier, Rickson also faces accusations of Manufacturing Drug Related Paraphernalia and various Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.
