Law enforcement officials received a distressing call around 9:43 p.m. on a Saturday evening, reporting a man armed with a gun at a residence on Water Oak Drive.

Reports indicated that the man, later identified as 43-year-old Nicholas Hegwein, was allegedly intoxicated and had hostages at gunpoint, prompting a swift response from the police.
