70-Year-Old Woman’s Dismembered Body With Missing Limbs Found In Bengaluru (Representational image)

Bengaluru: The dismembered body of a 70-year-old woman was found in the KR Puram area of Bengaluru, police said. The remains were placed in a drum and dumped at a vacant lot near an abandoned house.

Details of the Incident

The victim, identified as Sushilamma, resided with her daughter in a rented flat near Nisarga Layout, close to KR Puram. Additional Commissioner East, Raman Gupta, revealed that the victim was living with her daughter and 2-3 relatives, all of whom lived nearby.

Discovery of the Crime

According to police reports, the perpetrators had severed the woman’s arms and legs, which are currently missing. The local residents alerted the authorities after noticing a foul smell emanating from the area.

Investigation Update

“The incident may have occurred yesterday. I am here with senior officers to examine the spot,” mentioned Mr. Gupta. Assuring a thorough investigation, he added, “All necessary investigation will be conducted by our officers. We are actively pursuing the investigation and aim to catch the perpetrators as soon as possible.”
