The accused reportedly committed this heinous crime in the absence of his father, Roshan Singh, who was away on a trip to Chitrakoot at the time.

According to senior police officials, Himanshu killed his mother after facing repeated scoldings from her for his addiction to online gaming, which had led him into a debt of approximately Rs 4 lakh. To cover up his crime, the accused then disposed of his mother’s body near a riverside by transporting it in a tractor trolley.
The tragic incident came to light when Roshan Singh, the boy’s father, filed a police complaint against his own son, implicating him in the murder of his wife. The Singh family resides in Adhauli village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Dhata police station.
During the course of the investigation, crucial information was provided by neighbours of the Singh family, who had witnessed Himanshu carrying something suspicious on a tractor trolley on the day his mother went missing.
