Tragic Incident In Lahore: Teenager Killed by Speeding Car Near Ring Road Interchange

On a fateful Sunday near the Ring Road Interchange in Harbanspura, Lahore, a heart-wrenching incident took place. A 14-year-old boy named Rehan Sabir lost his life in a tragic accident involving a speeding car. The young boy was simply trying to retrieve a cricket ball that had rolled onto the road while playing with his friends when the unfortunate collision occurred, resulting in his untimely demise. The impact of the accident was so severe that it claimed his life instantly, leaving those around him in shock and disbelief.

Immediate Response from Authorities

Emergency services were quick to respond to the scene of the accident. The victim’s body was swiftly transported to the morgue, where proper procedures were carried out. The entire community was left in mourning over the loss of such a young life due to a preventable tragedy.

In a separate development, the Lahore police cracked down on individuals involved in kite flying activities, which have been known to pose risks to public safety. A total of 425 cases were registered under the Kite Flying Act, leading to the arrest of multiple offenders. The authorities seized over 9,000 kites and 3,800 spools of kite string from the culprits, underscoring the seriousness with which such violations are treated.

Tragic Discovery in Rohi Nullah

Meanwhile, another distressing incident unfolded at Rohi Nullah near Bhubattian Chowk, where a 35-year-old man named Shahbaz, son of Boota, was found dead. Eyewitnesses reported that the man, who appeared to be struggling with substance abuse, had jumped into the nullah. Rescue teams sprang into action, conducting a search operation that resulted in the recovery of the victim’s body. The deceased was then moved to the morgue for further investigation and identification.

High Number of Road Accidents

The Emergency Services Department (ESD) faced a busy day responding to a total of 1,071 road traffic accidents across all districts of Punjab. Tragically, five individuals lost their lives in these incidents, while 1,124 others sustained injuries of varying degrees. Among the injured, 506 individuals with serious wounds were promptly transported to different hospitals for urgent medical care.
