The incident involved a drive-by shooting targeting a residence on February 24, 2024. Following an investigation, deputies were able to track down a possible location for the suspicious male. They attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle occupied by the suspicious male and a driver. It was later revealed that the driver had been a victim of carjacking, managing to escape from the vehicle.

The suspicious male, identified as 16-year-old Noah Davis from Lucedale, Mississippi, then led deputies on a high-speed chase that ended in a rollover accident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

After appearing in George County Justice Court, Davis was assigned a $100,000 Commercial Bond for Shooting into a Dwelling, a $25,000 Commercial Bond for motor vehicle theft, a $100,000 Commercial Bond for Armed Carjacking, a $25,000 Bond for Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and a $2,000 Commercial Bond for Fleeing Law Enforcement. Davis is currently in custody and is being charged as an adult.
