In a devastating incident that shook the residents of Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, six labourers lost their lives in a tragic road accident. The unfortunate event occurred near the bustling Samadhganj market in the Sikrara police station area late on Sunday night, leaving the community in mourning.

The fatal collision took place around 11:30 pm when an Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus travelling from Prayagraj to Deoria collided with a tractor carrying twelve labourers. The impact of the crash resulted in the deaths of six individuals, identified as Neeraj Saroj (28), Rajesh Saroj (45), Sangram Vishwakarma (25), C Mushar (20), Govind Bind (30), and Atul Saroj (30), all hailing from the Alishahpur village.

Response and Investigation

Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Shailendra Singh stated that the bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination. Both the bus and the tractor involved in the accident have been seized as part of the ongoing investigation to determine the circumstances that led to this tragic event.
