Tragic Car Accident Claims Life of Iowa Woman in Carroll County
A devastating car accident on Highway 30, near Carroll, Iowa, has left a community in mourning after a 56-year-old woman lost her life on Monday morning.

Details of the Accident
The Iowa State Patrol reported that the fatal crash occurred around 6 a.m. when a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox was travelling west on Hwy 30 in the inside lane. At the same time, a 2017 Ford Fusion was also heading west on the same highway in the inside lane.
The Equinox collided with the Fusion on the rear passenger side, causing the Equinox to veer off the roadway, into a ditch, and ultimately flip onto its top. This tragic incident unfolded near the intersection of Griffith Road and Hwy 30, a stretch of road that is known for its heavy traffic flow during morning commutes.

The driver of the Equinox, identified as Lisa Feilmeier of Glidden, Iowa, was rushed to a nearby hospital following the crash. Sadly, despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries. Authorities noted that Feilmeier was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, highlighting the importance of adhering to safety measures while on the road.
