Massachusetts Woman Killed in New Hampshire Snowmobile Crash

Authorities in New Hampshire have reported that a tragic snowmobile accident claimed the life of a Massachusetts woman over the weekend. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon in the North Country region.

The accident took place on the Bear Springs snowmobile trail near Pine Mountain. Emergency responders, including personnel from Gorham Fire and EMS, the Randolph Fire Department, and the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, arrived at the scene following reports of a serious crash involving a snowmobile colliding with trees.

Upon arrival, rescue teams found the victim’s riding partner administering CPR in an attempt to save her. Despite their efforts, the woman, identified as 48-year-old Krista Bebezas from Westford, tragically succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at 1:00 p.m.

Authorities have indicated that the ongoing investigation suggests that the operator’s lack of experience may have been a significant factor in the crash. This marks the second fatal snowmobile accident involving a Massachusetts resident in the same region within a week.

Just days earlier, 39-year-old Shawnee Hollis from North Brookfield lost her life in a similar incident in Milan, New Hampshire. Inexperience was cited as a contributing factor in that tragic event as well.
