Man Arrested Two Years After Shooting in Mount Pisgah Area

A recent arrest has been made in connection to a shooting incident that occurred in the Mount Pisgah area of Memphis, Tennessee. Jaelyn Williams has been charged with attempted second-degree murder and employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.

Details of the Shooting

The incident took place on Deerskin Drive on November 2, 2022, at approximately 7 p.m. Memphis police responded to reports of a shooting and found a juvenile with a gunshot wound to the face. The victim was rushed to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.

Eye-Witness Account

According to the victim, he was standing outside on Deerskin Drive when a man known as Fatback called him over to a black car. As the juvenile approached the vehicle, he noticed that Fatback and another individual were armed with guns. Fatback, later identified as Williams, then allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and shot him in the face.

Arrest of the Suspect

Jaelyn Williams was apprehended by authorities on Saturday following the investigation into the shooting. The arrest comes approximately two years after the incident occurred, bringing some closure to the case.
